There are many restaurants, coffee shops and convenience stores in the area around U of T. On campus options include Tim Hortons and Second Cup. Or for something a little different, walk south on Spadina to experience Chinatown or north to Harbord or Bloor Street for some trendy options. There will be a lunch break in the middle of the day or pop out for a bite when your schedule allows for it.

canadianCUBING will be hosting a free pizza party for competitors and their guests at the end of the scheduled events on Saturday night. We'll be serving a variety of pizzas, including vegetarian. If you have any dietary restrictions, let us know in the comments section of your registration.

Pay parking is available at the Graduate House , about a block away from the venue. The cost is $14 and is not included in your registration. There may be other parking options nearby as well. We encourage you to take public transportation.

There are many hotels around the venue area. We have arranged a group rate with the Bloor-Yorkdale Holiday Inn. It is approximately a 10 minute walk from the competition venue. The Holiday Inn only has a few more rooms available for July 5-7. They are offering Canadian Open competitors a special rate of $149.99 per night based on quad occupancy (up to four adults sharing the room for one price) but you have to act fast!

Call them ASAP at 1 877 660 8550 or 416 968-0010 and tell them you want the Canadian Open Speedcubing group rate or ask for Sonia in the Sales department.

canadianCUBING will have a merchandise booth set up on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for you to purchase equipment and supplies for your cubing needs. We accept cash only. It is on a first come, first serve basis. We cannot guarantee any items.

We require a number of dedicated people to donate their time and efforts to these competitions. We need scramblers and judges for every round of every event. It is a great opportunity for parents, siblings, friends, or anyone else that wants to come and be involved but does not want to compete yet. We will provide training the morning of the competition for those wishing to help out. It can be a lot of fun. It is not difficult, so don't be afraid!

For anyone that volunteers and helps out for an entire competition, we will act as a reference if you wish to put this on your resume or college application. We will also sign any high school volunteer hour sheets provided you work the entire competition. But you must arrange this with us before the competition. Contact us here if you plan to help out.
