We are pleased to announce, in partnership with Club de Cube L'Escale, the National Capital Region 2015 competition. The competition will be held on Saturday, May 16 2015 at L'Escale, which is located at 1535 Du Parc Avenue, Rockland, Ontario.

The competiton will be held in the Optimist Performance Hall (room C.104). If you haven't been to an NCR before, The Club de Cube de L'Escale has provided a map of the location within the school here.

This is an official WCA event, and as such all official regulations will be followed. Please take some time to read them over before the day of the competition, especially if you have never competed before.

The cost to competitors that register online before the close date will be our standard pricing model. You will pay $15 to compete in one event. Each additional event will cost $2 to a max of $25.

If you do not register online before the close of the registration period, you can still register the morning of the competition. The price at that time, however, is $20 for the first event, $2 per additional event with no maximum fee. So be sure to register online. You can edit your events using the link found in you the email sent to you after registering.

Parking on the day of the competition will be complementary in the school's parking lot.

Cost for spectators at the competition is free of charge. So please come out and watch some of the fastest speedcubers in the country compete.

The top three placements will be recognized for their achievements, including certificates for all, and puzzles for first place.

Cubing Out Loud will be at the competition selling puzzles and other speedcubing related items. Additionally, they are offering their Pick-up Program for this competition, where you can purchase online beforehand and pick up your order in person to save on shipping. The Pick-up discount code for this competition is NCR2015, which will expire at 6 PM on Thursday May 14, 2015. Be sure to place your pre-orders before that time.

Cubing Out Loud is the sole vendor at this competition. No other vendors are permitted for this event.

There are several options for lunch in the area. There is a Subway and a chinese restaurant within a 10 minutes walk from the venue.

There will be an after party for the competitors and their guests that will commence following the awards ceremony in the same room as the competition. We will offer pizza with a variety of choices. We will have vegetarian pizzas available, as well. The cost is included in your registration fee.

There are several hotels or motels in the area. Use Google to search for one that meets your needs. We will offer River Rock Inn as the official hotel for the competition, as it is close and clean.

We are always looking for dedicated people to donate their time and efforts to these competitions. We need scramblers and judges for every round of every event. It is a great opportunity for parents, siblings, friends, or anyone that wants to come and be involved but does not want to compete yet. We will provide training the morning of the competition for those wishing to help out. It is not difficult, so don't be afraid!

For anyone that volunteers and helps out for an entire competition, we will act as a reference if you wish to put this on your resume or college application. We will also sign any high school volunteer hour sheets provided you work the entire competition. But you must arrange this with us before the competition. Contact us here if you plan to help out.
