The Canadian Open 2007 was held yesterday. Congratulations to all the winners. The event was good, and everyone seemed to have a good time. We will have full reports in the near future, with multi media to show all that happened. There were a few noteworthy items that happened. Chris Krueger, from the USA, who came up from California to give us a hand, set a World Record for Blindfold solving with an incredible time of 1:15.60. It was unbelievable, and we were all extremely happy to have him do it at the Canadian Open.

Craig Bouchard set a new National Record for the 2x2 event with an average of 8.75 seconds. Harris Chan finally dethroned Matt Walter as Canada's fastest cuber with an amazing average of 13.59 in the 3x3 event, which actually set the North American record as well.

There were a number of countries represented at the open, with many countries having their National Records set or broken. For the complete results of the competition, click here.

On behalf of CanadianCUBING, I would like to thank everyone that came out. It was a great success and it was nice to finally meet everyone. I am sorry I was so busy that I hardly had time to spend time with everyone. I feel like I missed a lot. I can't wait to see everyone again. Stay tuned to this site for much more to come in the near future.
