The Toronto Open, Fall 2014 competition took place this past weekend in Toronto. The competition had 98 participants and contained an incredible number of fast cubers. We saw countless PBs, a NAR and even one WR.

In the end, Antoine Cantin won the competition with an average of 8.01 seconds in the final round. Bill Wang came second averaging 8.50 and Jonathan Tan Wei Xiat finished third with 9.37.

And special thanks to everyone that helped make the food drive a success! We donated over 60 units of food and $139. A total donation of $150 will be made to the Toronto Daily Bread Food Bank on behalf of the canadianCUBING community!

Lastly, we just wanted to say that this competition was probably the most well run competition we have ever done. There were so many great people that jumped in to make the event run so smoothly. Without a doubt, Toronto has one of the best cubing communities in the world. Be proud!

The Atlantic Open Fall 2014 competition took place this past weekend just outside of Moncton, NB. Antoine Cantin won the competition with an average of 9.83 seconds in the final round of 3x3x3. David Hoar finished second at 10.72 and Liam Orovec finished third with an average of 15.98.

The Vancover Open Summer 2014 competition took place this past weekend in Vancouver, BC. Jacob Hutnyk won the competition with an average of 9.54 seconds in the final. Ben Yu (虞润川) finished second at 11.30 and Ibrahim Vajgel-Shedid finished third averaging 11.66.

Kristopher De Asis set the NR for 5x5x5 average with a time of 1:04.73.

Bill Wang won the Toronto Open Summer 2014 with an average of 8.58 seconds. Harris Chan finished second with an average of 9.27 and Eric Limeback finished third at 10.74.

The canadianCUBING Fifty competition took place this past weekend in Toronto. Thompson Clarke won the competition with an average of 9.43 seconds. Eric Limeback came second, only .02 seconds slower with an average of 9.45 seconds, and Louis Cormier finished third averaging 9.52 seconds.

Thanks to everyone that came out to celebrate our 50th competition. Extra special thanks to those that helped out with scrambling, judging and running. We stayed on schedule the whole day. Stay tuned for the announcement coming this week for the next Toronto competition.
